60-year-old Nagaraj dies on the spot after the BMTC Route 407 bus collides with his bike in Bengaluru North; driver detained, probe underway
Bengalur: A fatal road accident in Bengaluru claimed the life of a 60-year-old motorcyclist after a collision involving a BMTC bus and a bike at Hesaraghatta in Bengaluru North taluk on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Nagaraj (60), a resident of Basaveshwara Nagar. According to preliminary reports, the accident occurred when a BMTC bus operating on Route 407 collided with the motorcycle under circumstances that are yet to be fully established.
The impact of the collision was severe, resulting in instant death at the scene, highlighting the intensity of the crash.
Driver Detained, Police Launch Investigation
Following the incident, the bus driver was taken into custody by the police for questioning. Authorities have initiated a detailed investigation to determine the sequence of events leading to the accident.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to Victoria Hospital for postmortem examination.
A case has been registered at the Chikkabanawara Traffic Police Station, and further inquiries are currently in progress to ascertain liability and possible negligence.
